Hey everyone, so recently I’ve gotten back into my fic writing. Fanfiction is something I absolutely love and adore, and something I haven’t really written or read for a good few years having took a bit of a hiatus from it in about 2020 for various reasons. Part of it was just not having time or inspiration to write, and another part of it was just getting a bit disillusioned with the fandom I was in.
I did have a bit of a burst again in 2021, but it soon fell by the wayside again because I just wasn’t really feeling it or had the love for it, just a number of things and as I got into streaming and Youtube it was something I didn’t think I’d ever return to.
The thing is though, I had a story I was writing that was nearly abandoned, but I just couldn’t stop thinking about the story and how it developed. I had notes and things I wanted to do with it, and a few weeks ago I thought to hell with it, I’m going to try going back to it and see how it goes.
I’ve written two and a half chapters of it since then!
The story is Frontier, it’s an Evangelion Alternate Universe which takes the characters/concepts of Evangelion and transposes them into the Star Trek universe. I’ve popped a link above in case you’re interested.
So what’s the purpose of this post?
Well I like talking about my writing, I like sharing my processes and thoughts with others! So I thought it might be fun if I wrote a few blog posts breaking down my story and chapters, explaining certain decisions and giving a bit of a behind the scenes for anyone who might be keen on that sort of thing. I also thought it might be a cool place to feature any art I get commissioned of the story, which is something I plan on doing!
